QUESTION:

And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. [Luke 10:18]. Was Jesus referring to a past or future event? I believe the Bible says in Isaiah 14:12 and Rev 12:11 that Satan has already been cast down from heaven, or is Luke 10:18 the fulfillment of these scriptures?

ANSWER:

All right, while he is getting that one, maybe I can answer another one. All right, sir. [Brother Jimmy reads the next question: "Explain I beheld and Satan as lighting falling from heaven."--Ed.] "And I beheld Satan falling from heaven like lightning." Over in Luke is where... Does it give a Scripture there? Just... Well, I suppose that's what it is. "I beheld Satan falling from heaven like lightning." Now, that would... Now, I'll just kindy outline this, and if it doesn't do it, then you--you just let me know, and I'll go into detail. Do you remember, we'll--we'll get that when we come into--farther on into the Scriptures on our study over there in that... You know, Jesus...” [Thy House, Tifton, GA 61-0808]

“That was immediately after that Jesus give His disciples power against unclean spirits. And they went out casting out devils. Sent them two by two, and He said, "Don't go to the Gentiles, but go, rather, to the lost sheep of Israel. And as you go, preach then the Kingdom of heaven, and heal the sick, and cast out devils," and so forth. Well, then... And then, they come back rejoicing, happily (Now, you that asked the question knows that's where it is at. See?)--come back happily rejoicing. And He said--and He said, "Rejoice not that your names... Rejoice not because devils is subject unto you, but rejoice because your names are written in heaven." He said, "I beheld Satan falling from heaven like lightning.” [Thy House, Tifton, GA 61-0808]

“See, the power of that Church moving forward had just upset the whole kingdom of Satan. You see? And He saw him as he dropped from his places. Because God had again give power to His Church to go to... He beheld him falling like lightning from heaven. He was cast plumb out of the holy places and everything (You see?), by the power of those--that power of that Church, of them having power. Jesus said, "I give you power over unclean spirits." See? And they really upset the kingdom of Satan. What could we do with it today? Oh, praise the Lord.” [Thy House, Tifton, GA 61-0808]

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. [Revelation 12:10]

“Now, notice, at the end time--at the end of the church ages, now, he is called--he and his children are called the antichrist, 'cause anything that's against Christ is antichrist. And anything that's against the Word is against Christ, 'cause Christ is the Word. Now, he's antichrist. Then in Revelations 12:7-9, when Satan is cast out, the accuser... You want to put that down, 'cause I want to read it; we haven't got time now, 'cause it's twent--fifteen till ten. See? But in Revelations 12:7-9, Satan the spirit, the devil, which is up there now, accuser of our brethren, all right; the Church is taken up, and Satan is cast out. When the Church goes up, Satan comes down. Then Satan incarnates himself in the antichrist and is called the beast.” [The First Seal, Jeff. IN 63-0318]
