59-1108 - Branham Tabernacle, Jeffersonville, IN (Paragraphs: 60 - 74)
L-61 Now, you notice the Holy Ghost? How many noticed Peter had the keys to the Kingdom? Did you notice He opened it at the day of Pentecost to the Jews? Philip went down, and preached to the Samaritans, and baptized them in the Name of Jesus Christ; but the Holy Ghost hadn't come upon them yet; they had to send and get Peter, who laid his hands upon them and they received the Holy Ghost. That right? And the house of Cornelius, the--the Gentiles received It. That was all of it from then on. She just opened to all now. So there you are. See, He had to open it. God has ways of doing things. [Matthew 16:17-19]
L-62 Now, this morning, if this One Who gave the promise to the seed, and if the seed is setting here... I want to believe every one of you are. If the seed is sitting here, surely the seed will see the promise. Now, each one of these people standing here has raised up their hands they've never even been in the meetings before. They're strangers to me. I don't know a one of them. They just come in here, and a few minutes ago Billy give them a prayer card, and here they are standing here. There's a lot of you out there that raised up your hands, that you didn't have prayer cards and you was still strangers here. That don't have anything to do with it. You just believe that you're heir of that promise. You just believe that by His stripes you were healed, and believe that with all your heart, and watch Him.
The only thing this gift is, is just submitting yourself to Him. I don't say nothing; He does the saying. And if It's His Spirit of prophecy, the prophet always had THUS SAITH THE LORD. It was always right. And no question of doctrine, 'cause it--it'll have to line with the Bible, if it's God. God can't say something, and then go back on it, and twist it around. It has to be the same thing all the time.
L-63 Now, you out there, you believe with all that's in you, you believe. Now, don't move around no more; just set real still now, everybody. Just as slowly and softly as you can... It happens to be this morning, that the first person standing here is a man. Now, we're going to take this Scripture.
Now do you see where I'm standing? How many can understand that? Here's men and women standing here that I've never laid eyes on in my life. They've never even been in the meeting, and you see where they're standing. They don't know what's going to happen; I don't know what's going to happen. But God promised it. Abraham didn't know what was going to happen when he took the knife out to kill Isaac, but God promised him. That settled it. He had received him as one from the dead, knowing He was able to raise him up from the dead. Is that right? So that settles it. [Genesis 22:1-18]
L-64 Now, here stands a man by me; I've never seen him, know nothing about him. We're strangers to one another. We do not know each other. God knows both of us. Now, by a Divine gift, if I can just by a gifted... Now, those gifts are borned in you, God predestinated before the foundation of the world. How many knows that? So it wouldn't be anything I had to take the gift; God just chose that. I never chose that; He chose that. See? Like the prophets of the Old Testament, and the different people, they were predestinated to do it, to do this.
L-65 Now, if the man is sick, I couldn't heal him. If the man's in need, it would depend on what he needed whether I could help him or not. Might be, if it was something another like he--a little something I could help him to, why, I'd be glad to do it. Maybe he's got a temper. Maybe he's not even a Christian. Maybe he is a Christian. Maybe he's an impostor. I don't know. What if he's just a sneak attack, one that slipped in and come up here, just making hisself out like something, watch what happens (See?), just--just see what takes place. See? I don't know.
But, see, you stand here, then you can stand perfectly, knowing that God made a promise, God keeps His promise. See? Now, if God keeps His promise between right here now to these people, how many out there is going to set out there, and with all your heart you're going to believe it, all your heart you're going to believe it? Then you just believe.
L-66 Now, let's see, let's take a Scripture. Now, Simon Peter came to the Lord Jesus. And upon arriving at the Lord Jesus, the Lord Jesus told him who he was, and--and told him things about his life. Well, the same Jesus lives today. He... Do you believe He raised from the dead? You believe that Messiahic Spirit lives right in the Church today just the same as It always did? All right. [John 1:40-42]
Now, you in the audience that doesn't have a prayer card, you look this way and say, "Lord..." Of course, there's no prayer cards in the audience, I've got them all standing here. You in, the audience say, "Lord, You touch me." Find out what happens. Let's find out what happens.
L-67 Now, sir, if there was a way in the world of helping you I'd do it. See, I'm just... We're just strangers here, and I--I meet you for my first time. But I'm responsible, as a minister, to tell the truth and to be a witness of Jesus Christ. And now, I don't want you to tell me anything. I just want you to answer me whether it's truth or not, and then let Him do it. And if He will perform the same way here at the platform, through this body, that He did through the--Jesus' body, that's God in Christ... Jesus said, "I do nothing till the Father, which is in Me, shows Me. He tells Me what to do." So it wasn't Jesus that told the woman; it was the Father in Him, told the woman. It was--wasn't Jesus that knowed who Simon Peter was; it was the Father that dwelt in Him, knowed who Simon Peter was. That's it (See?); that's it. [John 5:19]
L-68 I can tell you now, you're a Christian, yes, sir, because you have a--a welcome spirit vibrating warmly. And he--he's a believer; he's a Christian. And you're suffering from a nervous condition which gives you a stomach trouble. Is that right? See? Now, that's exact. How is that? How'd I know that? How in the world would I ever know that? We've never seen one another before. That's true, isn't it? Maybe He'll tell You something else about yourself. I'll tell you; here's something. I see a woman by you. She's with you; it's your wife. She's also in need of some help, too. Yes, sir. You believe God can tell me here what's wrong with your wife? All right, sir. She's got heart trouble, complications. That's right, isn't it? Nervous also. Yes, sir. Now, you're not from this city; you go back this way when you go home, going to Cincinnati. That's right. You're from Cincinnati, Ohio. Your name is Milliken. Return, go back home; get well. The Lord will bless you and you'll be healed, you and your wife. God bless you.
Come, sir. You believe? Now, just have faith; don't doubt.
Now be real reverent, everybody now, just be real reverent, keep quiet. See, the Holy Spirit is so timid. How many knows that? Just real timid, Holy Spirit (See?), just any little interruption bothers Him.
L-69 According to the doctors, you must die right away with a heart trouble. That's right. You come here from Chicago, Mr. Mosley. Your first name's Theodore. You believe God? Then go home and live, in the Name of Jesus Christ, and be well. God bless you.
You believe God? You suffer with a condition in your leg. You're from out of town too. You're from Owensboro, Kentucky. Your name's Mrs. Lamb. Go back home and get well.
The lady setting right there, also from Owensboro, got an abscess on your breast here, supposed to be operated on tomorrow. Go, believe, and live.
You believe, sir? We're strangers to one another. Your name's Mr. Gilmore. That's right. You come from Anderson, Indiana, where the great Church of God movement is. That's right. You're standing here for your partial afflicted daughter. She's partially paralyzed. You believe? Then go home and find her the way you believe. All right. God bless you. Have faith; believe it.
L-70 You believe with all your heart, sir? You're from Indianapolis. You're a minister of the Gospel. That's your wife; she's suffering also. She's got esophagus trouble in the esophagus. The doctor... Has heart trouble, little nervous. I see she's deaf in her... Come here. Thank you. Thou deaf spirit, in the Name of Jesus Christ, I charge thee by the living God, come out of the woman. Now, you hear me all right now. You can both go home and be well. Go on back to your home. And you hear me and you're well and you'll be okay.
You believe with all your heart? Just have faith in God; believe.
That old arthritis and stuff is awful bad thing. You believe God will make you well? Then walk right down through there; go home, praise His Name and saying, "Thank You, dear Lord Jesus." Reason I caught that so quick, this woman had the same thing, arthritis. And do you believe that God will make you well? All right, sir, then just walk right down through there, and say, "Thank You, Lord Jesus," and go home.
All right, sister, just turn and go back, and believe that your--your stiff in your knees is...?... and your heart trouble and so forth, just turn and go back home, and say, "Thank You, Lord Jesus," and get well. Believe with all that's in you. [Mark 11:22]
L-71 You believe? How about out there, some of you people, you believe?
Little lady sitting there, black-headed, having epilepsy, you believe that God will make you well? Do you accept it? All right, if you will, He'll do it.
Here sets a preacher sitting here. Wanting a closer walk with God, aren't you, sir? You believe God will do it for you? Raise up your hand and say, "I accept it." Uh-huh.
This lady setting here throwed her hand down; she's got spiritual trouble she's thinking about. That's right.
Here's a little lady here wondering if she's going to have her baby. That's right. You've been in one of my meetings. And I promised you, by God, a baby. Didn't I? All right, then go home and have it. Don't worry about it no more.
L-72 You believe with all your heart, all of you? Every one of you believe? The seed of Abraham shall possess the gate, the gate of the enemy. Are you the seed of Abraham by Jesus Christ? Raise up your hands if you are. Then lay your hands on your neighbor, on your neighbor, on one another. Lay your hands on one another. Possess the gate now; it's yours. It belongs to you. Prayer of faith shall save the sick; God shall raise them up. All right, pray in your own way. Pray the way you do at your church. Pray for the people that's with you. Just put your hands on one another and pray. [James 5:12], [Mark 16:17-18]
L-73 Lord Jesus, we come in that great Almighty Name of the Royal Seed, the Seed of Abraham, Who was promised him on the mountain where You provided a lamb, and put that lamb in the wilderness, a mysterious thing, the same as You did those squirrels yesterday. I pray, O Lord God, that You'll send power, a faith, and let every seed... I know they will, Lord, because You said, "The seed of Abraham..." And if there has been some here who has been pretending to be the seed, and is not the seed, forgive them for their intending here--or pretending, and may the Holy Ghost just now set their soul afire with living faith. Let the Holy Ghost sway into every heart and heal everybody here. They got their hands on one another. The Royal Seed said, "These signs shall follow them that believe. If they lay hands on the sick, they shall recover." And the One Who made the promise is present right now, showing Himself that He's here. There's the seed with their hands on one another. "These signs shall follow them that believe." May the Holy Spirit surge through every one of their hands, into the hearts of the people, into the bodies, and heal everyone that's in Divine Presence. Grant it, Lord. I rebuke the devil; I rebuke all unbelief; I rebuke every foul spirit; I rebuke every pretender; I rebuke everything that's contrary to God's Word. And let the Holy Ghost take His place in the heart of the people right now through faith. May every sickness and every disease, every affliction leave the people, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen. [Mark 16:17-18]
L-74 Now, seed of Abraham, you're the royal lineage; you are the promise. By the grace and help of God, how many of you can raise your hand and say, "I have received what I asked for." Thank you. That's it. That's what the promise is for. That's what the promise is given for, that you might be an heir of all things, through Jesus Christ who saved you. He saved you from sin; He saved you from sickness; He saved you from death; He saved you from hell; He saved you from the grave.
You say, "Brother Branham, but we all go into the grave." But the grave can't hold us. He went to it also, but it couldn't hold Him. Certainly, it can't hold Him.
"Well, Brother Branham, I'm so tempted." He was, too. But He saved you from temptation.
"Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil." He's did it. It's all yours. Everything is yours through Jesus Christ. He gives you everything freely. There's no pay to it nor nothing. It's just yours right now. Aren't you glad of it? Aren't you happy for Him? Thanks be to God. [Matthew 6:18], [Luke 11:4]

59-1115 - Branham Tabernacle, Jeffersonville, IN (Paragraphs: 79 - 92)
L-80 Now, we're going... Is there any sick here to be prayed for? Raise up your hands.
A woman called a few nights ago (There's three of them, I believe, from California or something, they told me.), that said, "We've come two or three times. And you give out prayer cards, and our number's are not called." I made her a promise if she'd stay over, that I'd just pray for the sick this morning.
How many's been in here when we've had the discernments and things? Oh, all of you, I suppose, everybody here. See? We know that that's true. We're moving beyond that now. Oh, praise be to God, we're moving beyond that now.
Maybe it'll come to pass. I don't know what God will do this morning. But you people that are sick and afflicted, I'm going to ask you just to come a few at a time. Let these on this side here come up so we can pray for these on this side first. Maybe I can catch it like that. Come right up here, sister. Just line right up here, 'cause we haven't got... We have to send them back down the same aisle on account of them getting back to the same place. [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.]
L-81 I could tell the way this little fellow talked this morning, he believes in Divine healing. I know he believes in the power of God. Is there another minister here this morning that's a--a minister who believe that God heals the sick? If there is, let him come up here if he will, and come here stand with us while we pray for these--these sick and afflicted. Any of you brethren that believes that God heals the sick. God bless you, sir, come right ahead (see?), we want you to come right here with us.
Now, we do not know what the Holy Spirit may do. The Holy Spirit may at this time perform just like He did down at Sister Wright's the other day. I trust that He will. I don't know. You understand... How many know... Well, there's not many of you left here, when the visions first started? I don't know what time they'll come, what they'll do. Everything is in the will of God, and has to be controlled by God. How many knows that? God could not give man things to control themselves. If they did, then (You see?) it wouldn't be God. It wouldn't be God; it would be... I want you to think here, friends, in this little lowly place, but how the Lord has absolutely, Brother Mike, beyond any shadow of doubt, has blessed us, and performed, and done just exactly what He promised He'd do.
L-82 How many ever heard of super sensory perception? Many of you has. It's--it's just nothing but mythology, spiritualism. But you know, they can't... Them things are not lasting. They don't hold on. They can never get any material. They'll set down there and have... They say, "There's a spirit; there's a spirit." And they try and take a picture of it or something. They can't do it. See, it's just... It's not there. It's psychic, mental. See?
But what God does is perfect. When Moses throwed down his rod, the magician throwed down his rod too, they was both turned to serpents. Is that right? But what happened to Jannes and Jambres' rod? Moses' rod swallowed it up. And when Moses picked up his rod, it was still a rod. But where was their rod? Inside the rod of Moses. See, you couldn't see it.
When God does anything, He makes it real. Now, they tell me the Holy Spirit... You know, they say, "That's people just worked up. It's mental. Them visions and things, that's just a mental telepathy." [Exodus 7:8-13]
L-83 Well, when George J. Lacy examined that picture there, when that Angel of the Lord... Many of you standing here has seen it on the river, and many times. He said, "Brother Branham, the mechanical eye of this camera don't take psychology." Said, "The Light was there." There it is. It's everlasting. It's true.
So you see, It's the same Angel of God. Now, watch It. The nature of It proves it. When He was here on earth, It was dwelt in a--the Lord Jesus Christ, Who was God made manifest. And now, Jesus said, "A little while and the world won't see Me no more. Yet you'll see Me, for I will be with you, even in you, to the end of the world. And the things that you do... that I do shall you also."
Now, watch it when it comes... A man can say anything. But when God backs it up, that makes it truth. Now, watch the nature of that Angel. When He gets a person so submitted to Him, He does the same thing that Jesus did when He was here on earth, because we are sons and daughters of God, if we're borned of His Spirit. See? And it ain't no mythical thing. It's got evidence to prove it. It shows that it's right. So our salvation is absolutely perfect. [John 14:19], [Matthew 28:20]
L-84 The God of heavens, who had all the prophets to speak of the coming of the Lord Jesus... And Jesus, when He come, He fulfilled every prophecy. Many of them was fulfilled at the cross: "Wounded for our transgressions," and what David said, "My God has Thou forsaken me." But when God sends a prophet, a prophet speaks, God makes that truth, if it's God. That's where He said to know them. If they spoke, "and what they said come to pass, then believe them, for I'm with them." If it doesn't, then it... they're--they're not. They're false prophets. He said, "But to mark them, see whether it come to pass." [Psalms 22:1-19]
Now, look. If God, Who spoke in the holy prophets, talked about the coming of the Messiah to the glory and honor of God... If I know who would be president next fall, and would tell it, that would be prophecy. That's right. But God doesn't prophesy like that, just to... oh, just to be playing. God does something to glorify Him. See? [Isaiah 53:5]
L-85 But when the Messiah come, and when the Messiah left... I want to ask all you Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, Catholic, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Nazarene, Pilgrim Holiness, all of you; I want to ask you something: Don't you think that that King of the prophets, Jesus, would've knowed how to set up His own Church? If all the prophets spoke of Him, and pointed to Him...
What kind of a Church did He set up? When He left, He said... When he was here on earth, He told Peter, "On the revelation of the Word of God," He said, "upon this rock, I will build My Church, and the gates of hell cannot prevail against It." Isn't that right? All right. When He was... 'Fore He left, in Mark 16, He said, "These signs shall follow them that believe." Did He say it? "In My Name they shall cast out devils, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, drink deadly things." He also said, "The works that I do, shall you do also." Is that right? That's the signs that's to follow His Church. It's not a denomination. It's a set up organization, ordained of God, Holy Ghost filled, heaven born Church that comes out of all denominations, a real believing bunch of people. [Mark 16:17-18], [Matthew 16:17-19]
L-86 These ministers standing here are just along with me. We're men. He's God. But we're here to represent Him. We're here to tell you that we... God has sent us to do this work, to lay hands on the sick. "These sign shall follow them." Them signs, all signs that He spoke of will follow the believer. Here they are following. They follow. [Mark 16:17-18]
And God is not no respect of persons. What He did for Hattie, He will do for you. What He did for the blind, He will do for you blind. What He does for the deaf, He will do for you. Anything that He's done for anybody else, He will do for you, if you will only believe. Is that right?
Now, Brother Teddy, I want you to play, "Only Believe." And as these people pass through the line, then we'll get the other side. We're going to come through, all of us laying hands on you, praying for you that your diseases will be cured. And it can... It'll be... And I don't know what God's going to do. I'm just standing here right now, not knowing what to do. I'm just going to pray for the sick like I promised somebody that I'd do, just pray for the...
Last Sunday... You remember, I told you last Sunday was the--was the revelations and so forth. This Sunday I'd pray for the sick.
L-87 Let us pray now. Lord, we stand here as Your servants. We stand before Your people. We're here. We don't know what You'll do. You might speak with tongues. You might interpret. You might give a vision. You might cause me to take someone's hand for a revelation. You might speak and give the authority to say whatever You will. I don't know what You're going to do, Lord. And maybe, You want us to lay hands on the sick. We don't know what it is; we're just wanting to please You, Lord. We're standing here as Your servants, and these are Your people. And we're trying to help them according to what Your Word says do. We're trying to follow Your instructions. And I pray Thee, Lord, that You'll give to us that what we have need to minister to the people, through Jesus Christ's Name. Amen.
I want all the rest of you keep your head down and pray, while Brother Wood, if you'll... And minister brothers, I believe we stand right there. How many is there? Four of you here. All right, two of you on each side there, and I'll stand right at the head of the line right here. See? Just one moment. Now, right--right... Come over here, Brother Gary. Now, that's it. Stand right along there. And as they pass by, all the congregation... Now, if you little boys would move back a little so they can walk out. Now, as you all pray, go right straight to your--your seats. Then in a few minutes, I'll call for the other side.
L-88 Now, every one of you, not only ministers, but all of you ought to pray for these people. You don't know what God might do for you while you're praying for somebody else. What if you'd say the right thing? What if... Here's a woman standing here that's so sick they have to hold her up. What if your prayer would be the right thing, just like Banks said the right thing, like Hattie said the right thing? What if you'd say the right thing, and your prayer would cause God to come down and do something? See, this is just not one person; this is the church of the living God. Everybody...?... Now, everybody be in prayer.
L-89 Now...?... Brother Banks, you just bring the people through. Somebody stand here, if you will...?... the ushers... Brother Willard you help us through there. And Brother Banks, you come here...?...
Let us pray. Lord Jesus, the people are come now to be healed. May they be healed...?...
Come right ahead now, each one...?... Pray now, brethren...?... [This portion of the tape is unintelligible--Ed.]
Pile of these handkerchiefs, Lord, little cloths that are going to the sick and afflicted, different places. And may they be blessed, Father, through the honor and glory of God, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
L-90 (Got a message right here. Then, you be ready by then.)
All right. If the Lord bless you, brother. [A brother speaks with Brother Branham--Ed.] Well, from--from Oregon. San Jose... Well wonderful. God bless you. I hope... I hope that it'll just be one of the greatest meetings. Thank you, my brother. The Lord bless you.
Isn't this like heaven? When you think of preaching the Gospel and souls raising your hands to Christ, sick and afflicted passing through the line, baptismal services, fellowship, brotherhood; that's just--just a little bit of heaven dropped down on earth. You know, He... I feel like what the apostle said that time, "It is good for us to be here." If we could... We don't need but one tabernacle, but... We love to be here for the service of God.
L-91 Now, each of you people that come through the line this morning, was prayed for, just remember that the same God that granted all these things that you have heard done around the country... And they are truth, just as true as they can be. And all these ministers here, and what's been done in their ministry, what's been done in the ministry the Lord has given me. We have stood here with sincerity, with all of our hearts, pray and laying hands on you, just exactly what Jesus said, "These signs shall follow them that believe: If they lay hands on the sick, they shall recover."
Now, it's just got... There's only one thing to keep it from not happening, that would be for you to disbelieve it. Jesus said, "Come unto Me all you that labor and heavy laden, I'll give you rest. Whosoever will, let him come."
Now, there's only one way for you to miss it. God's Word's true. One way for you to miss it, is not come. Isn't that right? That's the way for you to miss it. God said, "These signs shall follow them that believe: If they lay hands on the sick, they shall recover." There's only one way for you to miss it; that's disbelieve it. If you'll believe God's Word, God will keep His Word. You see, to... That would be... That's the first, initial... That's the way to pray for the sick: pass them through, lay hands on them, or anoint them, or anything that God said way... [Mark 16:17-18], [Matthew 11:28-30]
L-92 But after all of that, for God to let you know that He's in the midst of His people, He shows signs and wonders. And see, it's the wonders and miracles of the living God to do the things that He does do. Now, He's wonderful. Don't you think so?
Now, the brethren are making ready in there for the--the baptismal service. And it'll just be quickly. And now, those are to be baptized, the women go to the room... Isn't that right, the women over there? The women over here, and the men on this side.
While we're making ready for baptismal service, I want to read a Scripture in the next few minutes. And we'll be... I know some of you, you're limbs are bound to be hurting from standing up. And if you can stand just a few moments longer, you'll see a beautiful sight when you see the--the immersing of these people.

59-1120 - Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, San Jose, Ca (Paragraphs: 44 - 64)
L-45 Now, we're going to bring this prayer line up. I think every one of them raised their hands, that they were strangers. Now, if the Holy Spirit will work through these people and you out there that doesn't have your prayer cards, or whatevermore, and will reveal here just like we--the apostles were talking about in our sermon tonight, how many will believe Him, and accept Him, and say that it's truth, and go away believing, let's see your hearts to God. The Lord bless you.
L-46 Father, now into Your hands we commit this service. There's not a man on the face of the earth, Lord, not none of us could do this. It will be You. So as we have spoken that the prophets of old were so anointed under that atonement, that they saw visions... And Jesus said Himself, "It's not Me that doeth the works; it's My Father that dwelleth in Me. I do that always which pleases Him. Verily, I say unto you, I can do nothing in Myself, but what I see the Father doing, that doeth the Son likewise." Let it be tonight, Lord, that they will see the works of God manifested through His church. And may we submit ourselves and be so consecrated to You, that our spirits will call out and speak the words that You'd have us to speak. We ask this for Your glory. And may every sinner, every unbeliever be saved tonight and consecrated to Thee because of it, and every sick person healed, in Jesus' Name. Amen. [John 14:10], [John 5:19]
L-47 All right, wherever you want to sit, brethren, it's all right. You want to come up. I want you to be just as reverent as you can. Set real quiet, listen, and just consecrate yourself to God.
Now, just remember this, if the Holy Spirit shall come here and perform these things, well then, you'll want to be ready to receive it, is that right? Is that your heart? Is that what you want? Do you want Christ in your life? Then the simple Word teaches us how to do it. Believe it; accept it; and then it will be.
L-48 Now, anyone here would know that there is no power in a man that would be able to perform on this man what that I have read about tonight in the Word, unless God Himself would come and do it. Now, don't forget the lesson while we're going on. The disciples had forgot; the Bible said their hearts were hardened and they forgot about the fishes and loaves. Now, if you're in need, don't forget the sermon. Remember He remains Christ tonight as He was then. [Matthew 14:13-21], [Mark 6:36-44], [Luke 9:12-17], [John 6:1-14]
Now, in our message tonight we found the apostle Peter, who we know to be now, which was named Simon, called Peter, little stone by Jesus, met a man, met Him, and talked to him and told him of his conditions, told him his name, and so forth, and he believed on Him, is that right? Told the woman at the well her sins, believed on Him. And told of the different things that--the diseases the people had, and they were made well by their faith. Is that right? Because Jesus told them. And right at last, His disciples, finally their eyes were opened, and they said, "Lo, now we believe that You know all things, and now by this we believe that Thou art He." [John 1:40-51], [John 4:1-21]
Jesus said, "Do you now believe?" After all that time of walking with Him and things, it was withheld.
L-49 I believe you raised your hand, sir, that we were strangers to each other. Yes, sir, we are. All right, now this man standing here is a stranger to me and I'm a stranger to him. We've never met in our lives; this is our first time. Only thing, someone, Gene, Leo, Billy, or some of them, give him a prayer card; his number's called and he's here on the platform. Now, I don't know what he's here for. I have no more idea than a perfect stranger does. I don't know. God does know. We all admit that, that God does know. And then if God will... If I can just surrender myself to God enough to let Him speak to this man through me, it'll be like the same Spirit. It wasn't David when he cried, "My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?" It was Christ crying through David, "Why hast Thou forsaken Me?" You understand that? [Psalms 22:1-19]
L-50 Now, how many in here that's never been in one of the meetings before, would you raise your hands, never been in the meeting before? Many hands. The Lord bless you. I'm trusting that this will be convincing to you. And if you're here for your first time and have a need of God, do like the woman did, say. She went through the crowd and touched the border of His garment. Now, you can touch His garment tonight. You believe that? You can touch His garment, because He is a High Priest, right now, that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities. Is that right? Well then, if He's the High Priest, the same High Priest, He'd act the same way He did when He was here on earth, if He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Is that right? He'd act the same way. So you without a prayer card, look this way and believe with all your heart. [Hebrews 4:14-15]
L-51 Now, sir, just to talk to you. I never met you, do not know you, but the Lord Jesus knows both of us. And we're here for a purpose to try to bring Christ to us, together. If I could do anything for you and wouldn't do it, I'd be a cruel man. But if I could do anything and wouldn't do it, I'd be cruel, but if I could I would. And the only thing that I can do is by a Divine gift, just submit myself to Him and see what He will say to you. Then it's His goodness working through me just as His servant, that He called me for that purpose.
The man is shadowed for death. You got a cancer; you know that. Cancer's in the lungs. That's right. Just a little while, unless God helps, that'll be it. Now, that He is good, by me knowing that, that He has told me that, makes His Word true, doesn't it? It does, makes His Word true. I want to ask you something. Will you accept Him as your personal Saviour, now? You're a sinner. And you need Him as your Saviour, because a heavier darkness than that cancer hangs over you. And I want to get that shadow away from us. You accept Him as your Saviour now, as your Saviour? Raise your hand to Him, if you'll accept Him. You come from Sacramento here. That's right, isn't it? You believe God knows who you are? Mr. Keith, go back home now and get well. You're saved from your death and may God be with you, my brother.
L-52 You believe on the Lord? Now, don't let that pass you by. Just breathe upon Him. "Lord, send to me Your goodness; let me be with You, Lord." Jesus saves and Jesus heals. You believe it? Now, don't let the message in the little boat get away from you now; don't let your heart get hardened. All right?
L-53 All right, lady, the--there was a woman who came to our Lord. And He talked to her a little while and found what her troubles was. And if you walked to Him tonight, if He was here on earth in a body of flesh, and you walked up to Him and you talked to Him a little while, He'd know just your troubles, just as He knowed her troubles. And He'd be able to tell you your troubles. But if you are sick He could not heal you unless you believed it. That would be a sign that He was there. Now, He said, "A little while and the world won't see Me no more; but you'll see Me." Now, how will He express it? "I'll be with you, in you." [John 14:19]
Now, if I've truly represented Him by His Words, then He will sanction what I've said to be right. Then He will tell you your troubles, just use my lips. That's all it is. It's not me; it'd have to be Him, 'cause I don't know you.
You are very extremely nervous. And then through the examination shows that you've got a kidney trouble. And you got trouble with the bladder also. That's true. I see two sick children appear. You're praying for them; you been praying for them for some time. If Jesus will take my voice and speak the trouble of those children, will you believe Him for their healing? One of them is anemia. And the other one has something wrong with the eyes. It's had a operation for those eyes, and it's up now for another operation for those eyes. Do you believe? Then go and receive your healing for you and your children in the Name of the Lord Jesus.
Just have faith. Just open your hearts now in worship, and believe Him, and receive Him.
L-54 How do you do? You have a--a bowel trouble that's bothering you. And there's something very strange about you, because I see you another time. It was in my prayer line, and you were shadowed to death by leukemia, and God healed you. Mrs. White, return home and your bowel trouble has--is healed. God bless you. God bless you, sister.
L-55 How do you do? The Lord Jesus is so merciful to us, and we worship Him, and His great Spirit is here. Now, there is an older person coming before me from this wo--it's her mother. And she's standing here for her mother. And her mother has suffered with a--a crippling; it's arthritis. And besides that, she's had a stroke. And she's unsaved; there's a black spirit over her. And she lives in Tennessee. That's true. And you're standing here for her. Go, believe and she'll be saved. In the Name of the Lord Jesus, believe.
Now, remember the message; open your hearts; receive Him in your little ship while you're sailing across life's solemn main. Do you want Him in your little boat tonight to settle the troubles? Don't be afraid of Him. Just believe Him.
L-56 How do you do? I really think it's enough. They believe right now. They're just being healed out there all around. For instance, this woman here, there's some connection with this woman here, setting there. You were even happy because she was called. That's right. Well, you thought you'd get in some other time, but you don't have to. That ulcer goes from you; believe, the hernia. Believe with all your heart, you can go home and be well.
What did she touch? Who did she touch? The High Priest, the living Jesus.
L-57 This sister has been in trouble, deeply in trouble, an operation, death operation, cancer. And it's left you in a--a broke down condition, like nervous and sleepless, and your eyes bother you, and complication. You're from Florida, a real warm country. Ruth, return back to Florida; be made well in the Name of the Lord Jesus.
Do you believe with all your hearts? "If thou canst believe." [Mark 9:23]
L-58 Now, do you believe the back trouble left you when you come up on the platform? All right, then go right on off and saying, "Thank the Lord" and believe with all your heart and be made well.
What you beating your hands for? You love Him? Then that prostate trouble has left you, brother. Rise up on your feet and give God praise.
Your back and kidney troubles left you too, sister, go on your road rejoicing, saying, "Thank You, Lord." Be well. Oh, now's the--now you're believing. Now, the Holy Spirit's...
Lady's trouble, female trouble. Believe with all your heart, go and be well in the Name of the Lord Jesus.
L-59 The Lord heals diabetes and makes them well; do you believe that? Go, believe with all your heart and be well, in the Name of the Lord Jesus.
He also heals stomach trouble. Go eat; be well; believe on the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart.
He also heals heart trouble. Just go on your road and saying, "Thank You, Lord Jesus."
He heals that skin disease setting there for you too, if you believe it. That big heavy man setting there been praying, his loved one been praying for him, you believe it, brother? Raise up your hands and receive Him. Go, be well.
You believe, out in the audience? All of you believe? Oh, this is the time. The Holy Spirit... What could happen right now? All right.
L-60 Here, there's a throb coming from the audience, from this boy. I don't know you, son. God does know you. You're here for asthmatic cough. That's right. True. You come from Arizona here. That's right. Papa and mama setting out there. They were disappointed because they didn't get their prayer... They got a prayer card, but it wasn't called. If God can tell me here what's the matter with mama and papa, will you go lay your hands on them and they'll get well? Mama's got trouble in her neck. Daddy's got a hernia. Go lay your hands on them son, in the Name of the Lord Jesus.
L-61 You believe with all your heart? If you believe, stand up on your feet right now, every one of you. Here, you in the prayer line, do the same thing here, every one of you. Right now is the time. Go, lay your hands on them, honey, so that they'll get well. Lay your hands on one another.
Lord Jesus, I pray now, solemnly, reverently, in the Name of Jesus Christ, that You'll heal every sick person that's here. Let the power of God that raised up Jesus, that He walked right into our little boat tonight, stilled the waves, drove away the foul breath of Satan, that says that He is not the same. He is the same, the same in principle, the same in power, the same in glory, the same in all, the same Jesus. I pray this prayer of faith for this audience, for their healing. In the Name of Jesus Christ the Son of God.
Now, to you that accept your healing, raise up your hands. Now, you in the line here, can you accept it like that? Can you accept it on those basis, right down the line? Raise up your hand.
L-62 Now, I want every sinner that's not a--in here, that hasn't been borned of the Spirit of God, come here just a minute and stand here, and let's pray for you just a moment. Every person in here that's not a Christian, would you come forth in the Presence of God? Would you come here and surrender your life to our Lord Jesus? I will promise you this; you'll never be any closer to Him until you meet Him face to face. For this is His Spirit. God bless these two men coming now, these others coming here. God bless you as you walk right down here just a moment.
Come and hear, come and believe on the Lord. In His Presence now walk down here now, you that's never accepted Christ and you want Him as your personal Saviour. You want an experience; you want to know that you're saved. Come down now. Won't you come? I invite you in the Presence of God, by the call of the Holy Spirit, that said to me just now, "Make your altar call now, for there's some that I am calling." If I be His servant, if my Spirit be His that's speaking, then it's still His Spirit calling to you, bringing you here. Is there more in here that would like to come at this time? Is there another would like to come? And all--here while we can offer prayer for you.
L-63 Is there some here who hasn't been filled with the Holy Spirit that would like to come and stand to this side of me over here, just a moment? Thank you. God bless you. Would there be another who would like to receive the Holy Spirit right now? See? Come and stand right here.
And if you're not a Christian and want to be saved, come, stand right here. All right. You who want the Holy Spirit stand over here by the piano. You who want Christ as your Saviour, stand right here. Right up here, this is--stand right here. You're right, brethren, right here. All right. Was you for salvation for your soul, brother? All right, stand right here, sir, right here. That's right. Now, those who are seeking salvation for their soul, come stand right here before me. Those who are seeking for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, come stand right over here just a moment.
L-64 Remember, I'm speaking in the Name of Jesus Christ, Who has confirmed His Word. He's here with you. That's the... How many believes that the Spirit that's in our midst tonight is the Spirit that was in Christ Jesus Who walked in Galilee, Who was received up, and Jesus Himself, the body Jesus, the Tabernacle of God, is with God on the throne of His right hand? How many believes that? Jesus the Man is on the right hand. But the Holy Spirit is here in us through His death sanctifying us, that He might work His will through His church. Do you believe that? Then that's His Holy Spirit doing the same things that He would do if He stood here in Person. His grace has sanctified His church and brought us to this. Will you come?
Just one song, will you, sister? One song, one verse of a song. "Almost Persuaded." Would you give us the key on that? And I'd like to ask again, will you come now without persuasion, while one verse alone. If you're a sinner, come, stand here in front of me. If you're seeking the Holy Ghost, come, stand right here. While we sing this verse, will you come now?

59-1121 - Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, San Jose, Ca (Paragraphs: 41 - 55)
L-42 Way over in a corner, this way, everyone look this way just a moment. Way over in the corner here is a man and a woman setting there. They're husband and wife. There's the Light hanging over them. The woman's looking at me; she's suffering with something wrong with her leg. The man has stomach trouble. Do you believe that God will heal you? Raise up your hand if you'll believe it. All right, both of you go home and get well. Jesus Christ makes you well.
What? Possess the gate of the enemy. There's the victory. "If thou canst believe." Pray.
L-43 How about out in here? There's a little woman setting there praying. Look this a way, sister. She's setting by the side of a heavy set man. You. Arthritis, sugar diabetes, you were praying to God to heal you. If that's right, raise up your hand. All right, go home and receive your healing. Believe now.
L-44 Someone right down here raised up their hand, along this line here somewhere. You? You believe with all your heart, you and your husband, your little children? You believe Jesus Christ sent me here for this purpose? You believe Christ can reveal to me what your trouble is? You have stomach trouble. Your husband has something wrong with his eyes. That's right. Lay your hands over on one another, for Jesus Christ healed you both right now. THUS SAITH THE LORD.
L-45 I challenge you to believe. Do you believe? Let you know that it's the same Angel, I'll turn my back. Right straight behind me is a man. He's praying for mother and father: heart trouble and arthritis. They come from Arkansas; their name is Smith. Believe with all your heart back there, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Go home and receive your healing and be made well, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen. If you believe it with all your heart, then go and receive it.
L-46 Now, just keep praying. Somebody in this section... There's a woman setting in this direction, and she's got trouble with her back and with her--her hip: a Mrs. Kirby. Believe with all your heart? Do you? Then you can go home and be well, Mrs. Kirby. Jesus Christ makes you well.
Do you believe? The same Angel of God... Seed of Abraham, what's the matter?
L-47 There's a woman right out from that lady there, looking at me, she's praying for somebody. It's her son. He's in a mental hospital and she's praying for him. That's right, lady. You believe Jesus Christ will make him well? If you do, raise up your hand. All right. May it be so, as you have believed. Have faith in God.
L-48 What do you think, honey? That little girl, Mommy with her arms around you there, you believe? You believe Jesus will heal you with that sugar diabetes and let you get well? You do? If you do, stand up on your feet. All right, go home and be well, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Make it so.
L-49 The little lady setting there looking at it rejoicing, facing an operation Monday morning from a female trouble. Do you believe God will make you well and will bring you through it? If you do, go and believe it in the Name of Jesus Christ.
L-50 What about you in the wheelchair? Arthritis. If you believe it, you can go home and be well too in the Name of Jesus Christ. There she comes out of the wheelchair. You believe with all your heart? You can have what you have asked for. There she goes, crippled out of a wheelchair, walking in the Name of the Lord.
L-51 Let's stand to our feet, everybody. Everybody that's sick and afflicted, rise to your feet now; give praise to God. Raise up your hands and praise the Lord, everybody, for His goodness, everybody, for His goodness.
Come to the Lord. Every sinner, come here. In the Name of Jesus Christ, every sinner walk this a way. Come, every sinner, quickly move this a way and repent of your sins. I command you, in the Name of Jesus Christ, in the face of this Angel Who makes the crippled to walk, discerns the thoughts of the heart, the Angel of God. Come forward, sinner, in the fear of God and repent of your sins. That's stern, and hard. But it's THUS SAITH THE LORD. If you'll come you shall be saved, just as this woman is healed and others are healed. Come forward, sinner.
L-52 Come right on up this way, people. Everyone seeking the Holy Ghost, come this a way. If you want to receive the Holy Ghost, come this a way; this is the hour. Sodom is going to burn after while. Come forward, you that's seeking the Holy Ghost and want something from God. Move forward; this is the hour of deliverance. If you want to deliver your soul from temptation, deliver your soul from sin, deliver your soul from fear, deliver your soul from sin. In the Name of Jesus Christ the Son of God, Whose Presence is now here, I charge you by the living God Who will judge you at the coming of the Lord Jesus, come forward and receive Jesus Christ.
Come, this is your chance. You're challenged by the Holy Spirit. He will judge you at the day of judgment. Come in the fear of God. Come because God is here. Come because God is calling. Don't come by some pathetic story; don't come by nothing but because God has bid you to come. Come now. This is it.
In the Name of Christ I say it again. Let every sinner, every person that's oppressed, every person that's got sin in their life, unbelief, and hasn't received the Holy Ghost, anything that you have need of in the line of spiritual ways, come forward now. If you got a temper you can't overcome, if you're tempted by tobaccos, if you're tempted by sin come forward and be delivered, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
L-53 Look at this poor old woman. I don't know what's wrong with her. I don't know what the Holy Spirit said, but there she set bound in a wheelchair a few minutes ago. There she is still on her feet giving glory to God. Workers, come with them, come forward. Oh, seed of Abraham, wake up. Pray. Get ready. The coming of the Lord is at hand. Come forward; come forward; keep coming.
What a moment. What a moment, the Holy Spirit just anointing all around here. I looked out over this audience; something down in me just seems to be lifting me up, up, up, up. Something's here; the power of God is here. The glory of the saints is here. The power of God is among the people. Seed of Abraham, you have--every gate is yours. Every gate is yours. Let's raise our hands everywhere, all you penitent sinners. Raise your hands, everybody.
L-54 O Lord, Creator of heavens and earth, send Thy message and Thy power upon these people. Let the Holy Ghost take the right-of-way in their hearts just now. Fill them with Thy goodness. Fill them with the power of God. Forgive their sins. Heal every sickness in the building. Get glory unto Thyself. Grant it, Lord, while the saints worship Thee. Grant it, Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
L-55 While the saints are praising God, let's meet these people here at the altar, go right around the corner there. Brother Curly, someone there, to lead them... Right this a way now so we can pray with you right in the room. Right this a way. Everybody here now, walk for just this a way. [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.] Workers go right with them, right now, till we go to the room. Right now. The rest of you, anybody here that would like to join with this group? [Genesis 22:15-18]
On the Calvary march. Hallelujah. On the Calvary march. Victory in Jesus, Jesus Christ's victory. They shall possess the gate of the enemy. I promise that. God would not call anyone, 'less he was the seed of Abraham. There they go to Calvary. There they go to possess the gates of every enemy. God bless their hearts as they go, my prayer.
Come right ahead, sisters, if you're on your road right with them, go right on. Anybody that wants to go right in now, that failed to go in the first place, come right ahead. The gate's still open. And there where you can possess the gate of every enemy you've got, the enemy that chokes you down, the enemy that makes you do things you don't want to do, the enemy that puts doubt and fear in your heart, right there's the place to overcome it. It's already overcome; just go claim it. They're on their road to Calvary.

I love Him, I... (Let's raise our hands now as we sing.) Him
Because He first loved me
And purchased my salvation
On Calvary's tree.
Let's just shake our hands like this and close our eyes.
I love Him, (Just look at that, brethren.) I... (All that love Him, wave to Him.)
Because He first loved me
And purchased my salvation
On Calvary's...
All right Brother...?... yours.

59-1122 - Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, San Jose, Ca (Paragraphs: 46 - 62)
L-47 All right. What do you think about this, sister? You believe it with all your heart? You believe It's the Spirit of the living God? You believe that He comes and do--does these things to confirm His Word, what I've just preached about? You believe God could tell me what your trouble is? I don't know you; you know that, no more than I knowed those people out there. You're just a woman that got a prayer card somewhere, where we called from, and just happened to be the first one on the platform.
Is it the same Christ? Do you believe that the--the former rain now, has come into this latter rain as God said it would and mix it together, 'caused the emotion amongst the people? The outside religious world cries, "Who is this? What is this?" But we know what It is. We see the nature of It. We see what It does. Now, see if It's the Spirit of Christ. If It's the Spirit of Christ, it'd be like the woman standing at--from the well, a man and a woman. Now, it won't be... You and I won't be them, no, but the Spirit of Him is here, and He has to use my lips, because His body is setting at the right hand of God in glory. His Spirit is here. And then if His--my spirit becomes His Spirit and my spirit can get out of the way by a gift, just move back by way I have doing it by a gift, then His Spirit will speak. Is that right? [Matthew 21:1-11], [Luke 19:28-40], [Jeremiah 5:24], [Hosea 6:1-3], [Joel 2:23]
L-48 You want me to pray for you for arthritis, and it's in your fingers. That's right. That's right. I'll tell you something else that you might know that I be His servant. You're praying for someone else; you got someone else on your heart. And that person's in a serious condition, got cancer. The cancer's in the kidney. And they live in a city called Sacramento. You're from Oakland. Your name is Miss Belcher. Go on home and be made well in Jesus Christ's Name.
You believe on the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart? It's His Spirit a doing that. If thou canst believe, all things are possible. [Mark 9:23]
L-49 How do you do? I'm a stranger to you, but not to Him. We both know Him because you are a Christian sister. If I could help you and wouldn't do it, I'd be evil. But I cannot do it no more than to surrender myself to the will of God and let Him speak, see what He says. You have an allergy, spasmodic intestinal, colon, the doctor said. That's right. That's your trouble. You believe with all your heart? If thou canst believe, all things are possible. Miss Andrews, that's right, and you're from Oakland, now go home, it's finished. Jesus Christ makes you well.
Could I do that? No, certainly I could not, It's the Spirit of God. Now, that's the reason the world says, "What is this? It's the devil." That's what they said about Him. "He's Beelzebub, He's a fortuneteller."
But they who know it, cry, "Hosanna, hosanna, the Lord is coming; the Holy Spirit's bearing record of His coming by putting the former rain into the latter rain what we believe." Amen.
You're standing here for somebody else, it's your husband. He's all nervous and upset. You believe? Take that handkerchief and lay it on, and it'll leave him. Believe now and don't doubt nothing; you'll have what you said. Amen.
You believe with all your heart? [Matthew 21:1-11], [Luke 19:28-40], [Jeremiah 5:24], [Hosea 6:1-3], [Joel 2:23], [Mark 9:23]
L-50 How do you do, sir? We are strangers to one another. God knows us both. You believe God can reveal to me what's your trouble if I will submit myself to Him? Then it'll be perfect, He will speak. Would you accept what He said? You believe it. You're here for your arm, your elbow and arm. You had a--in a car accident, hurt it. They're thinking about operating. But you've come to ask God to heal you. That's right, isn't it? All right, believe Him and you'll get well and you won't have to have your operation, in the Name of the Lord Jesus.
You believe? Everybody believing?
L-51 How do you do, sir? I do not know you, but God does know you. You have a muscular and bone condition; it's arthritis and rheumatism kinda mixed together. That's right. You're a minister. You're from Oakland. Return back and get well; Jesus Christ makes you well. God bless you my brother.
L-52 Have faith in God, believe. Oh, we don't have to go farther, don't you believe this with all your heart? Now, is the hour, now is the accepted time. Hold the prayer line there a minute, Billy. Hold the prayer line.
Sinner, what do you think about it? What do you think, backslider? Isn't this your time? Don't you see the Scriptures confirmed exactly? The former rain, the first one, when He was here, come down into this group that people thinks is crazy, and confirming that the latter rain has been poured out in these last years, and has formed this great full Gospel church. The former rain's moved right into it like God said and will both be in the same month. Here we are: former rain with the latter rain. [Mark 11:22], [Matthew 21:1-11], [Luke 19:28-40], [Jeremiah 5:24], [Hosea 6:1-3], [Joel 2:23]
L-53 Is that--is this the patient? Is this one of the... All right. Lady, we don't know each other, but God knows us both. Does anybody know this woman? Anybody? Well, yes, see hands go up in the... All right, let it be known. The rest of you sinners watch this now, and think that that very thing that's speaking to your heart telling you that you should repent, it's the same thing will tell this woman whatever she's here for. She might be a sinner; she might be a backslider; she might be a sick woman; she might have financial needs; she might be standing for somebody else; I don't know; God does. But if He will reveal it, will you accept it and believe that it is the Son of God, that His Spirit is here? It's not me; it's Him. It's not you; it's Him. That's Him speaking to your heart.
Your trouble's in your head; you have trouble with your head. You're a ministers wife. Your husband's a preacher. Your name is Benson, Beson, B-e-s-o-n. There's something strange about the man. He was healed here the other night. That's right. That's exactly the truth; I see you stand. All right, go home. Bless you now, you can be made well.
L-54 Believe on the Lord Jesus. Do you believe it? Come, sinner, let me ask you just a minute. How about, sinner friend, come here, He's talking to your heart; come stand right here just a minute, will you? Let's give us a tune, "Almost Persuaded" just now. How much more could He do? Almost persuaded now to believe. Don't allow some great fancy something, the Holy Spirit's here. Let's sing it now, and you sinner friends come stand right here, let me pray for you. The Holy Spirit's speaking to me, "Call the altar; somebody wants to come right now." All right, let's sing and come now; come right on.
L-55
"Almost persuaded,"... (Come, sister, come right here now.) now... (This lovely little Spanish girl coming up.)... believe;

Come on now; move right out of your seat; come up here. Backslider, sinner, without God, without Christ, without hope, in the Presence of the Holy Ghost, why don't you come now? That's right, sister dear; come right on take your place.
Seems now some soul to say, "Go, Spirit... (God bless you, sister. Come. God bless you, brother, come right on.)... Thy way;
Some more convenient day, (What other convenient day could you find?) on Thee I'll call."
L-56 Mr. Max Baer, maybe he heard that sing. I hope and trust that the man was saved and went to Jesus. But in a moment in his hotel room, a great strong man, well known, popular, just had refereed a fight over at Phoenix, never thought of dying at that time, young man, yet fifty years old, strong, athlete, a choice of the nation, but in a second, a vein struck him in his heart, and a pain run down his chest, and he screamed, "God, I'm--I'm coming." And here he went out to meet God. That might be your estate, maybe not in that way, but some way you've got to meet it. Don't you pass the time when the Holy Spirit's here calling like It is now. Won't you come now while we sing once more?
You that's all flusterated, you don't know whether you're a Christian or not; don't take that chance, friend. You who've never accepted the great message of the Holy Spirit and been filled with His power, you've never did that, don't take a chance on it. You say, "Some more convenient day." What if Mr. Baer would've said that? See, you--you must think of it now; think seriously. This is the hour. Who is this? What's it all about? [Matthew 21:1-11], [Luke 19:28-40], [Jeremiah 5:24], [Hosea 6:1-3], [Joel 2:23]
What if He give the same record that Jesus did when He was here on earth. No one can explain it; we can't explain it. I can't explain it, I don't know nothing about it no more than the Scriptures said it. And here it is. What is it speaking of? The close coming of the Lord Jesus. Come, will you now, while we sing again?
"Almost persuaded," now to believe;
"Almost persuaded," Christ to receive;
Seems now some soul to say, "Go, Spirit, go Thy way;
Some more convenient day, on Thee I'll call.
L-57 Let's bow our heads just a moment. [Brother Branham begins humming--Ed.] Is there those here who doesn't know Christ, and you just haven't the courage to come up? Raise your hands, I'm sure someone... God bless the man back there that raised his hand. Someone else? God bless you, young fellow. Someone else? God bless you over here, young man. Oh, don't let Satan hold you like that, brother dear, sister dear. Believe me as His servant. Believe me, because that my words are not mine; I speak His. It proves it here to know things that I know nothing about; it's Him. I persuade you in Christ's Name; be reconciled to Christ this afternoon. Come, won't you now? Just believe on Him with all your heart and receive it. While the personal workers are walking up close with these here, won't you come with them just now, while we keep our heads bowed? Four, five, or six raised their hands. Won't you come just now while we sing slowly?
L-58
"Almost persuaded...
You want the Holy Ghost, will you come? You that's seeking the baptism of the Holy Ghost, will you walk up too with these?
"Almost...
That lady's trouble it's all gone from you now. Your lady's trouble is all finished now; you can go home, be well. Rest of you down in that prayer line, just believe with all your heart, it's all over now. The Holy Spirit makes you well. Go believing. Come now.
Some soul to say, "Go, Spirit, go Thy way.
Some more convenient day, on Thee I'll call."
[Brother Branham begins to hum--Ed.]
L-59 Very solemn time. I don't know why the Holy Spirit keeps having me sing that over. There must be something somewhere. Perhaps... Would it, could it be this? I don't know, you're a Christian. Could somebody be getting their last invitation? It could be that, could it? If it is, don't--so don't put it off, brother, sister; it might be the last time. Come now, won't you just now while we sing one more time, then I'll feel free to close and pray.
"Almost persuaded," harvest is past!
God bless you, young lady. You seen me looking at you. I knew it was you, so this is your time.
... comes at last!
"Almost" cannot avail; "Almost" is but to fail!
Sad, sad, that bitter wail: "Almost--but lost!"
L-60 Our heavenly Father, we are grateful, Lord, for these children of Yours that stands here penitent with their heads bowed to the dust where they were taken from. And someday they shall return to the dust, for it is written, "Dust thou art; dust thou shalt return." And now, Father God, we are indeed happy that the message has produced this people. It is written and said by our Lord Jesus, "No man can come to Me except My Father draws him first." Then we know that the great Holy Spirit has convinced these people of their wrongs and they have come on the invitation of the Holy Spirit. And then it is also said, "He that comes to Me; I will in no wise cast out. I will give him Eternal Life and will raise him up at the last day." We know that dwells in reach of these people today that stands here penitent. They come publicly before this audience to confess that they have sinned and did wrong. And it is written in Thy Word, "He that will confess his sins shall have mercy. He that covers his sins shall not prosper." And it is also written again, "He that heareth My Word..." They heard it by lip; they saw it by action. "He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, has Everlasting Life, and shall never come to the judgment; but has passed from death unto Life." [John 6:37, 65], [John 5:24]
L-61 As Your servant, I stand now between the living and dead, and I plead to You, Lord, to forgive the sins of these children that has come forward by the invitation of the Holy Spirit, that's walked up here to witness that they are wrong and asking for mercy. You will in no wise turn them out. You will receive them, all of them, these young women, young men, elder, whatever they are, You will receive them because You have called them. "Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled." You promised it, Lord. And at the--at the message I now thank You for them and present them into Your hands as trophies of Your grace. May You keep them, Jesus, as they go to the room to kneel and give thanks to You for the salvation of their soul. I accept it for them, Father, as they come believing that You forgive them because they have repented of their sins. [Matthew 5:6]
Now, fill them with the Holy Ghost while they're in the room. Give them power and stand them at the gate where we're watching for the coming of that glad millennium day when our blessed Lord shall come and catch His waiting Bride away. We're watching for it, Lord. May they be numbered with that group. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
L-62 Now, go with us, with the workers right to the room here where they're to meet you in a few minutes, right back here. And you who here wants the baptism of the Holy Spirit, would you come forth at this time to receive the Holy Spirit. You are here and if you wish it, it's right now the wonderful time where trained people will be able to direct you to receive the Holy Ghost.
How many love Him, raise your hand. Oh, how I love Him, how I adore Thee, Thou matchless Christ, Thou Son of God's grace. How I admire Him, how I love Him. Me, a poor lost sinner has been privileged to come into the congregation of the most holy God's saints and to worship and preach to them.
Let us stand to our feet now while we sing.
I will praise Him,
I will praise Him,
Praise the Lord for sinners slain;
Give Him glory all ye people,
For His Blood washed away each stain.
Remember the church services this night everywhere.
I will praise Him, (Sing it, everybody.) I will praise Him,
Praise the Lamb for sinners slain...
